Oppo, I’m looking for an obd2 reader that I can use with torque pro, but I want it to be cheap (like under $20), I know you get what you pay for, but have any of you had good luck with a generic obd2 reader from online, and if so, what was it?

I have this Vgate one for almost a year, no issues so far. It’s even cheaper now than when I bought it.

I got at $20 Amazon obd2 Bluetooth device and then down loaded Torq Lite. It worked on my 2005 Subaru. I’ve never been able to get it to connect to my 2013 Dodge

I have one of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00…

Every few months it needs to be re-paired with my phone, but works well enough for $12. I’ve had it for a couple years now.

I had previously purchased another generic ELM327 reader (this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00… ) which paired with my phone, but Torque could never connect.

Mine was $8,99, form a chinese seller on ebay, works fine with torque and other apps, so far I’ve tested it on a Toyota sienna and a Hyundai Santa Fe with good results. Doesn’t wok on the Izuzu vitara, but I’m guessing that won’t be a problem. here’s a picture from google.

I have this exact one. I used it in my mk6 Golf with no issues. Also used it in several friends’ cars with no issues just checking codes and what not. I think mine was like $12 shipped a couple years ago. Random Ebay seller.

This is mine as well. Used on my 97 Volvo, and occasionally on my wife’s 2010 Hyundai Sonata. We actually ran it 12 hours straight for 850 miles in the Hyundai with no issues, twice.

I started out with the cheapie Vgate one which worked with some cars just fine, but I couldn’t get it to work with my 2005 Grand Cherokee. I then bought the BAFX one for $24. A bit pricier but it works fine with the Jeep.
